A few weeks ago I came across a trend on
social media networks: the 100 Days of Happiness challenge. More and more
people seem to be taking part in the challenge in a quest to find happiness.
I wanted to find out more about this trend
and went on to the website www.100happydays.com
which criticises the fast paste of our every day lives and the lack of
enjoyment:
“We live in
times when super-busy schedules have become something to boast about. While the
speed of life increases, there is less and less time to enjoy the moment that
you are in. The ability to appreciate the moment, the environment and yourself
in it, isthe base for the bridge towards long term happiness of any human
being.
71% of people
tried to complete this challenge, but failed quoting lack of time as the main
reason.These people
simpy did not have time to be happy. Do you? “
Leeds has always been a happy place for me,
somewhere where you can really enjoy life. So Leeds City Blog will accept the
challenge and live happy in the city of Leeds for the next 100 days. Get in
involved by posting about what makes you happy in Leeds on Twitter, Instagram
or Pinterest by using the hastag #HappyInLeeds!
Follow leedscityblog on Instagram and find
out what day one of the challenge holds.
